About

I'm Daksh Pathak, a software developer, machine learning student, and active open-source contributor building at the intersection of backend engineering, cloud-native infrastructure, and applied AI.

I enjoy building systems where reliability and correctness matter: Kubernetes controllers, security policy tooling, containerized platforms, and research software that turns complex problems into accessible tools. Most of my work lives in Go, Python, and TypeScript.

Open source is where I do my sharpest thinking. Contributing to Kyverno (CNCF policy engine) and OpenSSF Minder under LFX has given me first-hand experience navigating large codebases, writing production-grade tests, working with maintainers, and understanding how policy-as-code works in practice.

My current focus is TENeT (the Telehealth Effectiveness and Necessity Tracker), built through Google Summer of Code 2026 with the University of Alaska. The project spans the full stack: backend APIs, containerized deployment, frontend dashboards, and the first author research paper that accompanies it.
